Kindermusik for the Young Child is the perfect pressure-free preparation for private or group instrument instruction. In this sequential program, children will explore many facets of music – speaking and singing, moving, listening, creating, and playing instruments, and learning about reading and writing music. During each class, creative movement or dances are interspersed with quiet activities like drawing or focused listening. The curriculum introduces authentic pre-keyboard, string and woodwind instruments: the glockenspiel – a pre-keyboard instrument (semesters 1, 2, 3, 4), and string and wind instruments – the dulcimer (semester 3) and recorder  (semester 4). Young Child provides the opportunity to explore voice development, rhythm, notation and musical symbols. Young Child broadens and deepens the child’s introduction to the fulfillment and excitement of musicianship. Young Child helps every child develop a confident, joyful voice for singing and speaking as well as essential building blocks for a future of learning.

Consistency is needed in times of change...
Are you concerned that keeping Kindermusik in his/her schedule will overload him/her? Actually, the opposite is true. With all the changes in his/her life, keeping him/her in Kindermusik provides the consistency required to make the transition easier. With life getting busier, and your child's activities more independent in nature, Kindermusik is one place the two of you can spend time focused on each other.
