Feathers & Do-Si-Do (odd fall)

Feathers introduces Baby and
Parent/Caregiver to a delightful range of
songs, movement activities, object play and
vocal play relating to our feathered friends.
The Australian Kookaburra, the African
Ostrich and many more birds from across the
world are featured in songs, dances, and poems. Both jazz and classical selections, a Yiddish folk song, a Muskogean melody, and Mother Goose rhymes set to music are just a few of the colorful and exciting pieces introduced in this curriculum. The board book feathers drawings of many birds.  A Chime Ball is the featured home instrument.

Do-Si-Do stimulates a wonderfully unique
experience of rhythm and movement for Baby
and Parent/Caregiver. Movement highlights
include a Virginia Reel, a combination Tango,
Cha-Cha! and a "move-to-it" poem, which is
also featured in the board book. Other
activities range from chime ball play to instrument exploration and more. Music selections draw from many traditions, including African American, Mexican, Romantic, Scottish, South African and Southeast Asian. An egg shaker is the featured home instrument along with a blue scarf.
Cock-a-doodle-MOO & Dew Drops (even spring)

Cock-a-doodle-MOO! Hop on the
hayride—it’s time to head for the farm!
Families will sing songs about the farm,
including “Old MacDonald,”  “Hayride,” and
“Clever Cows.” They’ll engage in rituals and
playful activities for baby and caregiver,
including infant massage, lap bounces, exercise and quiet time. A playful picturebook of animals and the sounds they make and a cage bell instrument are included in the Home Materials.

Dew Drops Stop and smell the roses—and
lily of the valley, and tulips, and pansies.
Families will play and move together to songs
about flowers, such as “Jasmine Flower,”
“How Does Your Garden Grow?” and
“White Coral Bells.” They’ll also hear
traditional Irish music: they’ll dance a jig, move to the “Irish Trot” and exercise to “Did You Ever See a Lassie.” The book is all flowers and the instrument is a rainbow mini-shaker.
Zoom Buggy & Dream Pillow (even fall)

clack your way through this delightful unit.

play baby appropriate instruments to “Aiken Drum” and “Sarasponda.” Favorite nursery rhymes like “Wee Willie Winkie” and “Diddle, Diddle, Dumpling,” are sprinkled throughout the classes. My First Baby Music Class with Kindermusik
YES!  Your baby IS paying attention to you:  VIDEO HERE
Is my BABY really ready for Music Education?
For lap babies, crawlers and walkers, our parent-infant bonding activities include singing, listening, instrument play, literature and creative movement.  Infants are ready to listen and be moved to music from the moment they are born. Infants exposed to music from the earliest age will begin to respond as early as eight weeks and will demonstrate musical preferences as early as six months.  We know from experience in Kindermusik classes that infants will bounce to a steady beat as early as six months.  While responding to music, infants are stimulating development in all areas of the brain.  As well as emotional bonding, social and physical development, babies exhibit growth in  language and patterns of speech. Musical activities also stimulate development in the areas of the brain used in mathematics.
