See What I Saw (odd fall)
In this unit, your child will enjoy the many
wonders of a trip to Grasshopper Park. The
music represents a variety of different cultures
with songs from Ghana,Latin America,
Greece and France. You will find some
favorites including “Ha Ha This-a-Way,” “Jim Along Josie,” “Mr. Sun,” “A Tisket, A Tasket,” “Shoo-Fly” and “Allee Galloo.” There are also many new, original compositions like the chant “Everything is Just Fine.” The two literature books are The Ant Picnic Feast and Can You Find Me? The featured instruments are a slide whistle and a pair of Lummi (ridged) sticks.

Cities! Busy Places, Friendly Faces (odd spring)
This unit transports your child into a city,
where ordinary sounds and sights on the
street make a musical ensemble. People
shuffle their feet to a 4/4 beat. Street
musicians serenade and sing. Clock towers
boom, bellow and ring. The class will create a
city that's familiar, yet like no other. Using visual tools and home activities, children will transform the classroom, build a city out of handcrafted "buildings" and walk down sidewalks made of masking tape and freezer paper. The two literature books are Razupatu Toto and Down Our Street. Resonator Bars are the featured instrument.
Hello Weather, Let's Play Together (even fall)
This unit explores sunshine, rain, snow,
thunderstorms and more in this imaginative
and delightful weather-related musical
adventure. Whether creating storm sounds on
a drum or throwing pretend snowballs,
children and their families are encouraged to
get outdoors and enjoy the world around them. The two literature books are Michael Finnigin and Hurry Home Little Kittens featuring the Italian song "Funiculi, Funicula." Ankle Bells and a Rain Shaker/Scraper are the featured instruments.

Toys I Make, Trips I Take (even spring)
What's more exciting to a 3-or 4-year-old than
a new toy? How about an entire Toy Shop full
of toys! A remarkable toy shop, filled with
boats, trains, balls, jack-in-the-box and many
other toys is exactly what your child will
enjoy. While activities are centered on a child's pretend play and imagination, the unit firmly integrates the learning process by placing a strong musical emphasis on singing, steady beat and ensemble, as well as rhythm and rhythmic patterns. The two literature books are Tippity Tippity Too and If I Had a Big Blue Boat. A specially designed drum is the featured home instrument.
Consistency is needed
in times of change...
Is your child starting preschool? Are you concerned that keeping Kindermusik in his/her schedule will overload him/her? Actually, the opposite is true. With all the changes in his/her life, keeping him/her in Kindermusik provides the consistency required to make the transition easier. With life getting busier, and your child's activities more independent in nature, Kindermusik is one place
the two of you can spend time focused on each other.
Re-live your childhood with your child, as you

My daughter, Gracie, went to her first 'Imagine That' class & that was all she needed to unlock the door to her imagination! She is 3½ & she loves it!  The best part is that it really gave her permission to pretend with other children & with grown ups. Before this class, she may emulate something I would say to her - to her doll at nap-time. Now she will participate playing dollhouse or pretending to have a birthday party with other children at the park, rather than only parallel play. I'm so glad we made the decision to enroll her in this class. Ms. Lori Burkhardt is phenomenal at what she does. ~April D.
